PillVault ("the App") is published by Bulpara Inc ("we", "us", "our"). This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the App.
1. Data We Collect
The App collects the following data to provide its core functionality:
- Medication data: Medication names, pill counts, daily dosage, and refill thresholds you enter are stored locally on your device using SwiftData. They never leave your device.
- Scan history: Pill count records and timestamps are stored locally on your device.
- Preferences: App settings (notification preferences, alert thresholds) are stored locally on your device.
- Purchase information: Subscription status is managed through Apple's App Store and stored locally for feature access.
2. Camera & Photos
- The App uses your device camera for AI-powered pill counting and detection.
- All camera processing (pill detection, counting, image analysis) happens entirely on your device using on-device Vision AI.
- No photos or camera data are transmitted to any server.
- Camera images are processed in real-time and are not stored unless you explicitly capture a scan.
3. HealthKit
- The App may optionally sync medication data with Apple HealthKit (Premium feature).
- HealthKit data syncs through your personal iCloud account, controlled by Apple.
- We do not access, read, or store any HealthKit data on our servers.
- HealthKit integration is entirely optional and requires your explicit permission.
4. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services:
- Apple App Store / StoreKit: Manages premium subscriptions and purchases. Governed by Apple's privacy policy.
- Google AdMob (free tier only): Displays advertisements to free-tier users. AdMob may collect device identifiers for ad personalization. See Google's Privacy Policy.
5. Data Storage and Security
- All medication data, scan history, and preferences are stored locally on your device.
- No data is transmitted to or stored on our servers.
- Purchase verification uses Apple's secure StoreKit framework.
- On-device AI processing means your pill images never leave your iPhone.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. No medication data, pill counts, or health information is shared with any third party. AdMob may collect device-level data for ad personalization (free tier only).
7. Your Rights
You can:
- Delete individual medications and scan records from within the App
- Delete the app to remove all local data
- Disable HealthKit sync at any time in Settings
- Request information about data handling by contacting us at privacy@bulpara.com
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for users under the age of 13.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
